Lesson Fee: $30 for 30 minutes, $45 for 45 minutes and $60 for 1 hour
Drummers will learn to read and perform their favorite songs.

Private Guitar Lessons Grades K-8
Instructor: Israel Doria
Lesson Fee: $20 for 30 minutes, $30 for 45 minutes and $40 for 1 hour
This 8 week course is for beginning and intermediate guitar players and is focused around learning the principals of music and applying them to the guitar. Students will learn to read music notation, learn to navigate freely around a guitar and learn basic aural skills. This course is specific to classical music; however, if an advanced student is interested in learning a different branch of music their lessons will be adjusted. Lessons begin at 30 minutes per week and can be increased as the student advances.

Private Piano Lessons Grades K-8
Instructor: James Allen or Andy Sanesi
Lesson Fee: $20 for 30 minutes, $30 for 45 minutes and $40 for 1 hour
Beginning students will learn how to read notes and rhythms, recognize difference in pitch, and be able to find notes on the piano. Older and more experienced students will also learn theory and chord structure.

Ballet / Jazz Grades K-8
Instructor: Jessica Guess
Students will begin with the basic principles and techniques of ballet and jazz leaps and jumps. This class is focused on dance being fun.

Hip Hop / Tap Grades K-3
Instructor: Jessica Guess
This is a high energy class with fun hip hop moves and beginning tap steps. Both girls and boys will develop coordination, balance and self confidence; great skills used in both dance and sports.

Hip Hop / Tap Grades 3-8

Chess Club Grades 2-5
Instructor: Ms. Fair
Chess is a game that children enjoy playing and it is good for them. Many parallels have been drawn between chess, math and music due to abstract reasoning a quality of each of these areas. Playing chess increases mathematical problem solving skills and reading comprehension. It is also a fun game that children enjoy. Chess club will begin with the basis moves of chess and the rules of this popular and challenging strategy game. Math worksheets and the use of character stories are utilized to learn the role of the chess pieces.

Art, Comics and Urban Art Grades 3-6
Instructor: Tim Cunningham
"Comics will be the culture of the year 3794" - Salvador Dali
Explore the world of comic book art from Manga comics, very popular Japanese comic books utilizing techniques such as anime to the Noir comic genre, a crime genre seen in comics such as X-Men and Batman. Start a Manga comic book using techniques such as Anime! Develop characters and learn to draw over expressed emotions a trademark of a Manga character. - or - Start a Noir comic book with detective or crime scenes accented by seedy characters using inking techniques to add depth and shading for the drawing to truly take shape. Work on characters and plot during the summer to return in the fall and watch your comic come to life.
Recommended reading: How to Draw Noir Comics: The Art and Technique of Visual Storytelling by Shawn Martinbrough; Comickers Art: Tools and Techniques for Drawing Amazing Manga by Comickers Magazine
Required Materials: 2 - #2 pencils, 2- ebony pencils by design, 2- nonphoto blue pencils, 2 - 4H pencils, 1 - 03 micron pencil, 1-05 micropen pen and a soft brush 3 or 4, and kneaded eraser, paper is included in the price of the class. Cost $85
